It is hoped that the NEA will become a centre for enterprise learning excellence internationally and will seek to engage with some of the hardest to reach and most disadvantaged young people in the 16-19 age group. The Government will work to increase the role of mentoring for small and medium businesses, particularly those owned by women. Further to this, Train to Gain will be integrated with Business Link so that there will be a single service to address employers' skills needs.

By doing this they can have a significant positive impact on their productivity levels which will allow them to more readily compete on both a national and global scale.
